Chief of TURSAM Center for Strategic Studies shared his views on last events in Ukraine and foreign policy of Russian Federation
On 11 May on “Global Agenda” program of Turkish state channel TRT was broadcasted reportage about last events in Ukraine, Russia’s dispatch of troops to the Crimea and situation of Tatars living in Crimea. In the program talked about that Turkey must support tatars and spoke about foreign policy of Russia and noted how Russia pursues an imperial policy towards its neighbors throughout history.
Taking to reporter of TRT Turk channel in Moscow, the capital of Russia, chief of TURSAM Ahmad Shahidov said that russians will never retreat from Ukraine and added that use of force is an integral part of Russia’s policy. Mentioned events in post Soviet countries and bloody events in Baku in 1990, Ahmad Shahidov noted that Russia`s imperialist policy in South Caucasus influenced to Azerbaijan also, in Nagornoy Karabakh conflict Russia unambiguously supports Armenia and defends armenians in military point of view.
