Head of AIDHR held a meeting with Milan Kollár, Director, Human Rights Department, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Slovak Republic
Ahmad Shahidov, Head of the Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) visited Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs and met with Milan Kollár, Director, Human Rights Department, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Slovak Republic on November 3. During the meeting Head of AIDHR gave detailed information about the organization run by him and state of human rights in Azerbaijan. Mr. Shahidov also expressed his interests to the situation of human rights in Slovakia and addressed his questions concerning to the human rights advocacy organizations.
Expressing his satisfaction on meeting with Head of AIDHR in Slovakia Mr. Kollár touched on the human rights situation in his country. He also talked about ethnic minorities and their rights. Touching upon the double citizenship of Hungarian minorities, Slovakian official noted appeals submitted to the European Court of Human Rights.
In his turn Mr. Shahidov highly appreciated experiences of Slovak Republic gained on human rights filed and emphasized his organization’s intention on close collaboration with human rights advocacy organizations based in Bratislava.
