Security and human rights will be main issues of GLOBSEC 2015 to be held in Bratislava
GLOBSEC 2015 – Global Security Forum will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia on June 19-21, 2015. Security, democracy and human rights within European borders will be main issues of the forum that is expected to be attended by high ranked state officials, diplomats and socio-political figures.
In the framework of GLOBSEC 2015, Young Leaders’ Forum will be conducted with the participation of representatives from 40 countries, a representative from each country. Ahmad Shahidov, Head of AIDHR will represent Azerbaijan at the forum.
Commenting on the GLOBSEC 2015 Forum, Ahmad Shahidov voiced his proud to represent Azerbaijan at such a crucial forum. The statement reads: “GLOBSEC is an annually organized high level forum that joined by world leaders and politicians. Bringing together young leaders from each country, the forum focuses on security and fundamental freedoms. Participants to the forum get an opportunity to meet with world leaders and make fruitful exchanges of thoughts. Currently I am strictly preparing to the forum. I will share my thoughts on Azerbaijan, its role in an international arena, its suffering from terrorism and occupation of 20 percent of its lands. Nevertheless, I will also touch upon Azerbaijan’s efforts on contributing to combat against terrorism and extremism”.
