As a part of his working visit to Qatar Ahmad Shahidov, Head of Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) gave an interview to the Qatar’s leading mass media means on September 15. Being attendee of the International conference to be held in Doha, Qatar the human rights advocate answered questions directed by Qatar State News Agency, “Qatar Tribune”, “Urdu Post” and “Al Arab” newspapers.
In his remarks Ahmad Shahidov highly valued the international conference held under the titled of “Combating Hate Speech and Extremism” which was organized by the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar (NHRC). He underscored recent processes over the world and injustice faced by Muslim countries. Head of AIDHR further highlighted double standards applied towards Azerbaijan, occupation of Nagorno Karabakh and seven adjacent regions, one million refugees who became internally displaced persons and unfair decisions issued towards Azerbaijan.
While answering questions of journalists Ahmad Shahidov emphasized unity of Muslim world and Qatar’s contribution in this regard.
