Head of AIDHR discussed Azerbaijan Turkish relations with Ekmeleddin İhsanoglu, former Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) who is currently MHP Member of Parliament from Istanbul
On January 27 Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) continued its next winter session in Strasburg, France.
Ahmad Shahidov, Head of Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) held a meeting with Ekmeleddin İhsanoglu, prominent academic, politician and diplomat, former Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) who is currently MHP Member of Parliament from Istanbul in the frame of the winter session.
Touching on the Azerbaijan Turkish relations, head of AIDHR talked about mutual cooperation between the two fraternal countries at PACE. Mr. Shahidov went on to extend his deep appreciation to Ekmeleddin İhsanoglu for an outstanding service in sake of the whole Turkish world.
For his part, Ekmeleddin İhsanoglu viewed Azerbaijan as a fraternal country and noted importance of collaboration among Turkish speaking and Islamic countries. In this respect he emphasized strong ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
