The opening ceremony of the project “School of Young Bloggers”, organised by the New Azerbaijan Party Ganja City Organization and the Reformist Youth Public Union, was held on July 24 with the support of the Executive Power of Ganja city.
The event was attended by chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ganja City Organization, MP Naqif Hamzayev, representative of the Ganja city Executive Power Kanan Mammadov, chairman of the Reformist Youth Public Union Farid Shahbazli, human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov, director of Azxeber.com website Afsaladdin Agalarov, internet expert Azer Niftiyev and young people.
The purpose of the project “School of Young Bloggers” is to create youth groups in Ganja, which are closely related to internet media, well-versed in internet media and ready to use the opportunities of the internet media for national interests.
Opening the event, Chairman of the NAP Ganja City Organization, MP Nagif Hamzayev spoke about the successful youth policy implemented in our country, care and attention to the youth. He noted that young people should demonstrate their loyalty to our state and statehood by utilizing the conditions created and to show their active participation in the virtual world, in social networks, in the field of information, also should be closely involved in the delivery of information about the government’s actions, as well as the problems facing Azerbaijan.
Representative of the Ganja City Executive Power Kanan Mammadov noted the importance of holding such kind of projects, saying that internet media is the most massive means of influence in modern times.
Chairman of the Reformist Youth Public Union Farid Shahbazli, director of Azxeber.com website Afsaladdin Agalarov, internet expert Azer Niftiyev spoke about the opportunities of internet, blogging activity, its significance and its role in information warfare, and noted that these trainings will give a certain boost to young people who want to engage in blogging activities in Ganja.
Then trainings were started. Spoke to young people, head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights Ahmad Shahidov gave an interactive lecture on a social media and its importance, active participation of young people in the e-propaganda process and activities for the sake of Azerbaijan’s national interests. During discussions in the form of debate, the young people made their proposals and voiced opinions on the fulfillment of their duties in the information war of Azerbaijan.
