On November 10, the Head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, who is on a working visit in Europe, met with the High Commissioner for Refugees and Migrants of Republic of Serbia Mr. Vladimir Cucic in Belgrade. During the meeting, the sides discussed the war and its horrors faced by both countries, exchanged views on the victims of war, refugees and internally displaced persons.
Stressing the activities of the AIDHR leader in the international arena, the Serbian High Commissioner considered it necessary for the representatives of the two countries to co-operate in the OSCE, the Council of Europe and other international platforms, implement joint projects in the field of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the countries, as well as protection of rights of refugees and IDPs.
During the meeting, preliminary agreement on mutual cooperation was reached and the outline of joint activities was discussed. The head of the AIDHR presented his books on the truths of Azerbaijan, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, armenian terrorism and the Azerbaijani refugees to Mr. Vladimir Cucic, the High Commissioner for Refugees and Migrants of Republic of Serbia.
