On November 7, the Head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, who is on a working visit in Europe, met with the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mrs. Jasminka Dzumhur in Sarajevo. During the meeting, the Human Rights Defender who spoke about the truths of Azerbaijan – the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons, including the Azerbaijani hostages, also expressed his intention to closely cooperate with the Ombudsman Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Expressing her satisfaction with welcoming the Head of the AIDHR in Sarajevo, Mrs. Jasminka Dzumhur briefed on the activities of the Ombudsman Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, spoke about the human rights situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rights of ethnic groups living in the country and integration to Europe.
The sides, who have agreed on future co-operation, have discussed the combine efforts to exchange information and exchange experiences, mutual visits, joint actions, and the protection of national interests of both countries.
