Every year March 5 is celebrated as the Day of Physical Culture and Sports in our country. This date is celebrated under the President Ilham Aliyev’s Decree of March 4, 2005 on the establishment of the Day of Physical Culture and Sport. The development of sports in our country is getting wider every year. Now Azerbaijan is known as a strong sports country in the world.
Originally from the town of Gakh, well-known human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov visited Gakh district on this occasion and watched the UGIM (Gakh) football team’s training. Ahmad Shahidov, expressing his support to the football team headed by the Honored Coach of the Republic Mrs. Dilara Ahmadova, congratulated Gakh athletes, sports community of the district on the occasion of March 5 – Day of Physical Culture and Sport and wished them new successes.
