1st anniversary of Shusha Declaration – Ahmad Shahidov spoke about allied relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan

One year has passed since the signing of the Shusha Declaration, which raised Turkish-Azerbaijani relations to the level of an alliance.

The Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan was signed by Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev on June 15, 2021 in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan and the symbolic city of Karabakh.

With the Shusha Declaration, the first document signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan on the principle of alliance, the parties undertook to fully support each other on all important issues, as well as in international and regional organizations. With the declaration, the parties reaffirmed their determination to develop relations in many areas, from military to defense technology, energy, transport, economic and humanitarian issues.

Ahmad Shahidov, the head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, who was a guest of Seda Anik in the “Daily” program of the Ulusal Channel, touched upon the allied relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
