“Some Western countries support the HDP, which is a political extension of the PKK” – Ahmad Shahidov spoke at OSCE

On September 26, the OSCE Warsaw Human Dimension Conference began in Warsaw, the capital of Poland.

Addressing the panel entitled “Democratic institutions, elections and political parties” at the plenary session held on September 27, Ahmad Shahidov, the head of the Turkish Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, assessed the political situation in Turkiye and criticized some Western countries, especially also harshly criticized the official Washington’s Turkiye`s policy.

Stating that HDP is a political extension of PKK terrorist organization, Ahmad Shahidov noted that US support to PKK is unacceptable.
