President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated Zangilan International Airport.
Speaking to the BenguTurk channel, international relations expert Dr. Ahmad Shahidov evaluated Azerbaijan-Turkiye relations and answered questions of anchor Dilara Ozer.
The plane Erdogan was on landed at Zangilan International Airport, the second airport built with the contributions of Turkish companies in Azerbaijan’s liberated territory.
Greeted by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Erdogan became the first head of state to land at the completed airport.
The symbolic keys of the airport were presented to Erdogan and Aliyev, who cut the opening ribbon of the new airport. Erdogan and Aliyev posed for the press with the key.
The two leaders then toured the airport building and received information from the authorities.
Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye Celal Adan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Chavushoglu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirishchi, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu, AK Party Deputy Chairman Binali Yildirim, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesman Omer Chelik, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun and Presidential Spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin also visited Zangilan with President Erdogan.
