Speaking at the international conference organized by &#8220;Conscience&#8221;, human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov stressed the need to apply new approaches to establishing peace in the world, noting the importance of applying the norms and principles of international law, and spoke of the sad consequences of the war faced Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ub1K2gnzhxk\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shahidov gave detailed information about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, said that Azerbaijan has lost 20% of its land, noting more than 1 million refugees and internally displaced persons, as well as talked about Azerbaijani captives and hostages.<\/p>\n<p>Noting that four resolutions of UN Security Council on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have not yet been implemented, the human rights defender said that UK is one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and therefore official London has some responsibilities for these issues.<\/p>\n<p><a
