In this context, international relations expert and political commentator Dr. Ahmad Shahidov shared his views from Washington DC.<\/p>\n<p>The expert stated that after the Israel\u2013Iran confrontation, a new power balance has begun to form in the region, and currently, the tension between T\u00fcrkiye and Israel has entered a far more dangerous stage. According to him, recent developments in Syria and the increasingly harsh rhetoric between the sides have further complicated the situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not just a diplomatic disagreement. Behind this tension lie energy routes, security interests, and a struggle for influence within the Islamic world. T\u00fcrkiye stands out as a humanitarian and political power in the region, while Israel tries to protect its interests with the support of the West,\u201d Dr. Ahmad Shahidov emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ahmad Shahidov also drew special attention to Pakistan\u2019s position. In his view, unlike other Muslim countries in the region, Pakistan \u2014 as a nuclear-armed state with significant military strength \u2014 plays an important role in these processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPakistan is a country with substantial influence and weight in the Islamic world. Especially in the Palestinian issue, its principled and determined stance and its capacity to affect regional and global developments set it apart. At present, Pakistan\u2019s approach to developments in the Middle East is being closely watched,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Touching on Azerbaijan\u2019s position, the expert noted that Baku maintains friendly relations with both T\u00fcrkiye and Israel, and therefore tries to pursue a balanced policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Azerbaijan, this issue is both a political and moral matter. If the situation escalates into war, Azerbaijan will stand by its brotherly T\u00fcrkiye. This stems from history, shared values, and national security interests,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ahmad Shahidov believes that in the coming months, diplomatic and military processes in the region will intensify even further, and the clash of interests among major powers will lead to a new geopolitical situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMajor powers like the U.S., Russia, China, and the European Union will try to secure their interests in the region. This will affect both energy security and international trade routes.
