Speaking to ARB24 Television from Washington, political analyst Dr. Ahmad Shahidov stated that this process is not only a security matter for Turkiye but also a strategic success that expands its regional influence.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, the armed conflict, ongoing for nearly 40 years, has caused severe human casualties and economic losses in the region: \u201cIn the current circumstances, the PKK laying down arms will establish a new geopolitical balance in the Middle East. It will especially strengthen Turkiye\u2019s position in Iraq and Syria.
