The visit, carried out at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, serves to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to REAL Television, political analyst Ahmad Shahidov noted that Azerbaijan\u2013China relations have long been built on the principles of mutual respect and friendship:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn today\u2019s new global realities, the development of these relations carries special significance. The main purpose of President Ilham Aliyev\u2019s visit is to participate in tomorrow\u2019s Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. In addition, bilateral meetings are also taking place within the framework of the visit. These meetings focus on strengthening political dialogue, expanding economic cooperation, and exploring new opportunities in the fields of transport, logistics, and energy. In particular, enhancing Azerbaijan\u2019s role within the \u2018Belt and Road\u2019 initiative is a key priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shahidov added that Azerbaijan aims to expand its non-oil exports to China and launch new projects in agriculture, information technology, tourism, and education.<\/p>\n<p>According to the political analyst, President Ilham Aliyev\u2019s visit to China is not only about developing bilateral relations, but also of historic importance in terms of strengthening Azerbaijan\u2019s position in the Asian direction.<\/p>\n<p><a
