The event, which started on October 6 and will run until October 17, has brought together hundreds of diplomats, human rights defenders, journalists, and civil society representatives from various countries. The main goal of the conference is to strengthen the principles of human rights, freedoms, security, and international justice.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s agenda focuses on major global issues such as the peace process in the South Caucasus, the war in Ukraine, the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East, and violations of international law.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking live to ARB24 Television from Warsaw, Azerbaijani human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov said that the Azerbaijani delegation is actively participating in the conference and plans to deliver several speeches during the plenary sessions: \u201cAzerbaijan stands on this platform as a defender of peace, justice, and human rights. We will share our views on achieving lasting peace in the South Caucasus, normalizing Azerbaijan\u2013Armenia relations, and the importance of the peace agreement reached with the mediation of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shahidov also noted that topics such as the war in Ukraine, the humanitarian catastrophe in the Middle East, and India\u2019s aggressive policies in South Asia will also be reflected in the Azerbaijani delegation\u2019s speeches: \u201cThis conference is an important dialogue platform for human rights defenders from different countries.
