These scenarios increase tensions in the Middle East and generate new risks for regional countries as well as for global security.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with ARB24 Television, political commentator Ahmad Shahidov stated that there are serious divisions within the U.S. government regarding a possible attack on Iran: \u201cIn Washington, there are those who see this step as necessary, while influential circles warn that it could lead to severe and uncontrollable consequences. A military strike against Iran would create risks not only for the region, but for the world as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Ahmad Shahidov, a potential military escalation could also undermine Iran\u2019s internal stability: \u201cIf Iran enters a phase of fragmentation, this could trigger long-term and protracted conflicts among various ethnic groups inside the country.
