In particular, resolutions adopted at the level of the Dutch Parliament and the Belgian Federal Parliament have once again raised questions about Azerbaijan\u2019s international representation and information advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>Human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov, who is currently attending the PACE spring session in Strasbourg, noted that diaspora activities have not demonstrated the expected level of dynamism in recent years, creating certain gaps in international discussions: \u201cOver the past 20 years, I have participated in numerous events across different countries, and my experience shows that the concept of diaspora is still not fully developed. Activities are often limited to cultural events, whereas in such sensitive political moments, a more active and responsive position would be beneficial.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shahidov also emphasized that although the State Committee on Work with Diaspora has undertaken certain initiatives, current realities require more flexible and result-oriented approaches: \u201cToday, there are new challenges in the region \u2013 the peace process is ongoing, the Zangezur corridor remains on the agenda, and biased attitudes towards Azerbaijan persist in some European circles.
