During last week\u2019s meetings, key issues on Europe\u2019s security agenda, including the situation in the Middle East and Iran, were at the center of discussions. The debates held within the session once again highlighted Europe\u2019s approach amid rising tensions in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Political analyst Ahmad Shahidov stated in his interview with ARB24 Television that differing and conflicting views were expressed regarding Iran during the debates at PACE: \u201cOne group of parliamentarians presents Iran as one of the main sources of tension in the Middle East and advocates for a tougher approach toward Tehran. Another group, however, believes that dialogue with Iran should be maintained and that opportunities for cooperation, especially in security matters, should be preserved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Ahmad Shahidov, these debates demonstrate the absence of a unified position not only within PACE but across the broader European political landscape: \u201cToday, there is no common strategy in Europe regarding the Middle East and Iran.
