In his analysis, he examined the changes in the military strategy of the Donald Trump administration, the prospects for possible U.S.\u2013Iran negotiations, the position of Iran&#8217;s leadership, developments surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, and the emerging geopolitical landscape in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ahmad Shahidov, there is no unified position within Iran&#8217;s leadership. He noted that while the Iranian government is considering diplomatic options to ease economic pressure, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) continues to advocate a much tougher approach. At the same time, Israel supports maintaining military pressure, whereas the Gulf states prioritize preventing another large-scale conflict in the region. Shahidov believes these differing approaches will directly influence the future of U.S.\u2013Iran negotiations in the coming period.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shahidov also highlighted the military and economic consequences of the conflict. Referring to various sources, he stated that the United States has lost approximately 15 service members, more than 500 troops have been wounded, and Washington has spent tens of billions of dollars on military operations. He added that Iran&#8217;s losses have been considerably higher. In Shahidov&#8217;s view, the key question at this stage is whether the two sides can reach a diplomatic agreement.
