This global confrontation is a complex process that encompasses large-scale geopolitical interests, the restructuring of the security architecture, and the strategic positions of global powers.<\/p>\n<p>Political analyst Ahmad Shahidov, in a statement to ARB24 Television, noted that the main goal in this war is not to gain territory; rather, Russia aims to neutralize NATO&#8217;s Eastern flank and stop the alliance&#8217;s expansion towards Russian borders. He stated that Moscow is striving for the complete demilitarization of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shahidov added that Ukraine remaining neutral, lacking a strong army, and not joining the European Union and NATO are Moscow&#8217;s primary targets.
