Representatives of OSCE participating States, OSCE institutions, and OSCE executive structures, representatives of inter-governmental organizations, legal professionals, representatives of civil society and researchers from 57 participating States took part in discussions.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yVBw7Wc2lds\" width=\"640\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Taking an active part in discussions on the topic of &#8220;Children&#8217;s rights&#8221;,\u00a0<strong>Head of Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights Ahmad Shahidov<\/strong>\u00a0delivered a report on the protection of children in Azerbaijan. Noting that the Azerbaijan society is also concerned about the current problems related to children with disabilities, orphaned babies, early marriages, child mortality, preschool education and other fields, Head of AIDHR said that\u00a0<strong>Azerbaijan has ratified the UN Convention, dated 21 July 1992 &#8220;About the rights of children&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stressed that Haydar Aliyev Foundation implemented a series of projects in the protection of children&#8217;s rights, human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov emphasized that the greatest patron of children in Azerbaijan is Mehriban Aliyeva.<\/p>\n<p>Head of AIDHR talked about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijani children growing up in refugee camps, spoke about\u00a0<strong>the completely destroyed 616 schools, 242 preschool institutions, 4 colleges, 11 technical schools and hundreds of thousands of children living in the refugee as a result of armenian aggression.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Shahidov brought to the attention of the participants that<strong>\u00a053 Azerbaijani children were missing as a result of the conflict, 169 infants were exposed to various forms of torture by armenians and 18 of Azerbaijani children are still in captivity in Armenia.<\/strong>\u00a0Together functioning of the whole world for the protection of children&#8217;s rights, to end wars and occupations, as well as building a happy future for all children in the world is important today, said Head of AIDHR.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On September 29,\u00a0the Human Dimension Implementation Meeting (HDIM) of OSCE participating States, organized by OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) continued its work in Warsaw, Poland.
