Ahmad Shahidov, Head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, who is on a working visit to Europe, visited the Embassy of the Turkish Republic in Budapest. Meeting with Ambassador Ahmet Akif Oktay, the human rights defender informed the Ambassador about the activities carried out in Europe and spoke of the work done for the sake of national interests of both countries.
Highlighting the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations, Ambassador Ahmet Akif Oktay emphasized the importance of joint work on international platforms. Turkish Ambassador spoke about the work done by Turkey in the field of Afrin operation and combating terrorism, expressed his deepest gratitude to friend and brother Azerbaijan for its support.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the joint activities of the two countries in the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the UN and other international organizations.
