This time we visited Sumu Castle as part of our trip to Gakh region.
Sumu Castle is a defense tower located in Bujak neighborhood in Ilisu village of Gakh region. It was built in the 18th century. It is an example of a defensive tower that people living in mountainous areas built with their families to protect themselves from the enemy. River stone, lime mortar and baked brick were used in the construction of the tower.
Besides visiting our ancient history, we decided to show it as well.
