The issue of people’s freedom of religious belief is being used as a means of pressure among a number of states. From time to time, there are forces that try to put pressure on Azerbaijan over this issue. Citizens’ freedom of religion is fully ensured in Azerbaijan. There is no problem in this area.
Speaking to ARB24 Television on the subject, human rights defender Dr. Ahmad Shahidov said that individual countries and international organizations are actually trying to influence Azerbaijan by spreading false information about the violation of religious freedom in Azerbaijan.
