In the ongoing peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the handover of 8 villages is on the agenda. The Armenian authorities have already expressed their initial agreement on this issue. Currently, the armenian society has certain objections in this matter, which will be resolved in a short period of time.
Speaking to ARB24 Television, human rights defender Dr. Ahmad Shahidov said that the return of 8 villages to Azerbaijan has already been agreed. Even the civilian mission of the European Union operating in Armenia refused to visit those villages, therefore they confirmed that those villages are Azerbaijani territories.
