May 28 elections are a first in the history of Turkiye. It is the first time that the second round of elections is held. At this stage, the presidential candidate of the People’s Alliance, the chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party and the current head of state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the candidate of the Nation Alliance, the chairman of the opposition Republican People’s Party, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu are fighting. The candidate with the most votes in the second round will be elected the President of Turkiye for the next 5 years.
