Armenia’s declaration of independence is an obstacle to peace with Azerbaijan. With the current constitution, Armenia can never live in peace with its neighbors, especially with Azerbaijan and Turkiye. In order for Armenia to develop and improve relations with its neighbors, the country needs a new Constitution.
Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, a human rights defender who gave a statement on the issue to the ARB24 channel, said that the Armenian constitution is based on territorial claims against Azerbaijan and Turkiye. In this regard, the Armenian people should change their mother laws in a short time and speed up the peace process.
