Ahmad Shahidov held a meeting with Faiz Sucuoğlu, Minister of Tourism of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
As a part of his official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ahmad Shahidov Head of Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) met with Faiz Sucuoğlu, Minister of Tourism of TRNC on August 3. While touching upon tourism experience of Northern Cyprus, the minister briefed a guest on foreign investors’ interest towards Cyprus and newly constructed tourisms facilities.
For his part, Head of AIDHR pointed it out that tourism industry is rapidly growing in Azerbaijan. He went on to note ample potentials for tourism in the Eastern part of country, in particular in Gakh region by underscoring importance of learning tourism experience of Cyprus.
Aftermath, Mr. Sucuoğlu emphasised his readiness to share gained experience and noted feasibility of a delegation of Northern Cyprus’ visit to Gakh. In the end of meeting Ahmad Shahidov presented photos depicting nature, history and monuments of Gakh region to the minister. Seizing the opportunity Head of AIDHR invited Mr. Sucuoğlu to Gakh region.
