Within the framework of his business visit to Doha, the capital of Qatar, Ahmad Shahidov, head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights and a human rights defender, held a meeting with Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar, Mr. Muhammad Aamer, on May 29.
During the meeting, the strong friendship and brotherhood relations between the two countries, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation, were discussed. The parties also exchanged views on strengthening mutual support and common interests at regional and international levels.
Ahmad Shahidov emphasized that Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations are at the level of strategic partnership and highlighted the importance of supporting Pakistan’s legitimate position on international platforms.
At the end of the meeting, both sides confirmed the continuity and strength of Azerbaijan-Pakistan friendship and expressed their mutual wishes for the welfare of their peoples and the development of cooperation.
