Well-known human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov, head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, paid a working visit to Qatar’s capital, Doha.
On February 16-17, the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar organized an international conference on “Social Media: Challenges and Ways to Promote Freedoms and Protect Activists”, in Doha. At the international conference, ombudsmen, human rights defenders, heads of international humanitarian human rights organizations and experts from various countries of the world discussed the protection of human rights in social networks.
Ahmad Shahidov, who is closely involved in the two-day discussions, made a video appeal to the international community.
