TRT Arabia Television broadcasts discussions on Azerbaijan’s victory in Nagorno-Karabakh

The long-running Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has reached its logical end today. The war ended and the requirements of international law were met.

Over the past 50 days, Azerbaijan has exercised its sovereign right to conduct successful military operations and liberate its occupied territories, primarily by protecting its citizens.

The strategically important city of Shusha was liberated and the logical end to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict came.

A peace agreement signed between the parties with the mediation of Russia has entered into force.

In an interview to TRT Arabia Television, the head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov said that the agreement signed today aims to establish long-term peace in the region: “Russia was expected to play a decisive role in the conflict. I think that Turkey should also be closely involved in future talks. This agreement is the implementation of the conditions set by the Azerbaijani side for many years. Unfortunately, Armenia has so far refused to comply with international law and start peace talks. Finally, today the government of Nikol Pashinyan was forced to accept the realities.”
