Torture on Azerbaijani soldiers brought to the attention of international organizations – Dr. Ahmad Shahidov spoke to CBC Azerbaijan channel

The Armenian court issued an arrest warrant for two Azerbaijani soldiers who went missing in the direction of the Shahbuz district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic due to unfavorable weather conditions and crossed into the territory of Armenia.

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia opened a criminal case against the Azerbaijani servicemen with several articles.

According to the information of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia, a criminal case has been initiated against Agshin Babirov and Huseyn Akhundov under a number of articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia. They are accused of illegally crossing the state border, smuggling and illegal trafficking of arms and ammunition, agreed in advance by a group of people.

Speaking to CBC Azerbaijan Television about the issue, human rights defender Dr. Ahmad Shahidov said that the Armenian side has once again grossly violated the requirements of the Geneva Convention.
