PACE adopted a shameful decision, Azerbaijan was excluded for 1 year – Dr. Ahmad Shahidov comments to ARB24 Television

On January 24, the PACE Monitoring Committee discussed the issue of approving the credentials of the Azerbaijani delegation and supported the report of German MP Frank Schwabe. Thus, the activity of the Azerbaijani delegation in PACE is suspended until January 2025. During the next 1 year, Azerbaijani MP`s were excluded from PACE activities.

Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, a human rights defender who closely participated in the Winter Session of the PACE, told ARB24 Television that this decision of the PACE is a continuation of France’s biased policy against Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan may completely refuse PACE membership in response.
