“The interference of the European Union in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan is hypocritical” – Dr. Ahmad Shahidov told ARB24 channel

On January 16, the head of the European Union delegation in Baku, Ambassador Peter Mikhalko made an unfounded claim against Azerbaijan on his “X” account. He targeted the Azerbaijani judicial system and said that those who were arrested were treated rudely.

Speaking to ARB24 Television about the issue, human rights defender Dr. Ahmad Shahidov called the European Union’s interference in Azerbaijan’s internal affairs hypocritical and considered it unacceptable for Ambassador Peter Mikhalko to make statements inconsistent with his mandate.
