A step has been taken to reduce tensions in the Middle East. On November 27, a ceasefire regime came into force between Israel and Lebanon. Israel’s military-political cabinet approved the ceasefire agreement. According to the agreement, a 60-day ceasefire is planned. According to the agreement, Hezbollah and all armed groups in Lebanon will not take any aggressive steps against Israel. The parties once again announced that they recognize the importance of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Speaking to ARB24 Television on the subject, human rights defender Dr. Ahmad Shahidov said that this step will serve to reduce tensions in the Middle East to some extent. However, the experience of recent years shows that such agreements reached between the parties do not last long.
