On January 30, a separate side event on Azerbaijan was held within the framework of the Winter Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The main organizer of the event, which was initiated by a Spanish MP named Laura Castel Fort, was political emigrant Emin Huseynov.
In their speeches, Emin Huseynov and others slandered the Azerbaijani state, demanded the expulsion of Azerbaijan from the Council of Europe in general, and demanded the imposition of serious sanctions against Baku.
The regrettable point was that the Armenian delegation to PACE participated in that event in full.
