On February 28, a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House was tense and ended in a diplomatic scandal. During the meeting, Donald Trump accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of provoking World War III and stated that he was considering halting military aid to Ukraine.
As a result, the anticipated economic cooperation agreement was not signed, leading to a deterioration in relations between the two countries. After the meeting, Zelensky expressed gratitude for US support and emphasized that Ukraine would continue its fight for freedom and security.
Meanwhile, European leaders have recently held a series of important discussions aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine and strengthening Europe’s security. European Union leaders gathered in London and proposed a one-month ceasefire to stop the ongoing conflict and establish lasting peace in Ukraine. UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky led this initiative. Macron stressed the importance of increasing European defense spending and introducing more flexibility in the EU’s fiscal rules.
Speaking on the topic during the “Agenda” program on ARB24 Television, political analyst Dr. Ahmad Shahidov stated that Ukraine cannot win the war without US support.
