Interview on REAL TV: Ahmad Shahidov commented on US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan and Ukraine policy

The attention of the global public is currently focused on US President Donald Trump’s policies in the Middle East and Ukraine. Especially as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict enters a new phase, Trump administration’s proposed plan for the Gaza Strip has sparked widespread criticism. According to the plan, Gaza residents would be displaced and relocated to third countries. This proposal has been firmly rejected by the Palestinian leadership and the Arab-Islamic world.

Speaking on this issue, Ahmad Shahidov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights and a human rights defender, appeared as a guest on REAL Television’s “Real Interview” program. Shahidov described Trump’s plan as a violation of international legal norms and human rights, emphasizing that such an approach could trigger a major humanitarian disaster in the region.

Ahmad Shahidov also stressed the importance of a united stance by Arab and Islamic countries against this plan. During the interview, he criticized the US policy on Ukraine as well, underlining the existence of double standards in the West’s approach.

Other key topics on the global agenda were also discussed in the program.
