US-Iran talks: stability and security issues on the agenda — Dr. Ahmad Shahidov speaks to ARB24 Television

Diplomatic negotiations between the United States and Iran remain at the center of international attention, particularly in terms of reducing tensions and improving the security environment in the region. Against the backdrop of recent developments in the Middle East, the outcomes of these meetings and their possible prospects remain highly relevant. On this issue, political commentator Dr. Ahmad Shahidov shared his views with ARB24 Television.

According to Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, the meetings between the US and Iran are significant not only for bilateral relations but also for the future of the entire region. The political analyst emphasized that maintaining dialogue between the parties could help ease tensions in the Middle East and pave the way for new diplomatic formats.

“The ongoing processes indicate that both sides are willing to reach certain compromises. In particular, energy security, border security, and the prevention of armed clashes in the region are among the main topics of discussion,” Dr. Ahmad Shahidov noted.

He also stressed the importance of considering the positions and approaches of other regional powers during this process. Any change in US-Iran relations would inevitably have consequences for other countries in the region as well as for global power centers.

The political expert believes that if talks between the two sides continue in a positive direction, this could contribute to improving the humanitarian situation and restoring economic cooperation in the Middle East.

It should be noted that in recent days, US and Iranian officials have engaged in indirect dialogue several times, reporting progress on certain issues. However, finding a diplomatic resolution to the long-standing conflict between the two countries remains a serious topic of discussion.
