Commenting on the issue on Real Television’s “Real Interview” program, political analyst Dr. Ahmad Shahidov provided a detailed assessment. Shahidov stated that the Israel-Iran confrontation would deepen further and could trigger new armed conflicts in the Middle East. He also emphasized that such attacks and retaliatory steps would not only affect the Middle East but would inevitably impact the South Caucasus as well.
According to Dr. Ahmad Shahidov, the emerging military and political situation in the region could pose certain threats to Azerbaijan. In particular, the increase in Iran’s military activity in border areas and Israel’s search for regional support could escalate tensions in the South Caucasus. The political analyst noted that Azerbaijan should maintain its neutrality and security during this process and strive to preserve balanced relations with both sides.
