Ahmad Shahidov speaks to REAL Television about key discussions at the OSCE Warsaw Conference

The third day of the OSCE’s annual Human Dimension Conference is underway in Poland’s capital, Warsaw.

The major event, which began on October 6 and will continue until October 17, brings together diplomats, human rights defenders, journalists, and civil society representatives from around the world. The conference focuses on human rights, fundamental freedoms, security, international justice, and peace.

Speaking live to REAL Television from the venue, Ahmad Shahidov, Director of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, shared insights about the ongoing sessions and discussions.

He stated that the Azerbaijani delegation is actively participating in the platform, presenting its position on the South Caucasus peace process, normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, and the U.S.-brokered “White House Agreement”: “Azerbaijan stands as a defender of peace, justice, and human rights at this forum. We call for the restoration of lasting stability and the protection of the rule of international law in the region.”

The human rights defender also noted that some Armenian representatives delivered provocative remarks, but the Azerbaijani side remains composed and responds firmly: “Unfortunately, certain biased statements aim to undermine the peace process. But we respond with patience and facts. Azerbaijan will continue to defend truth and justice.”
