The meetings held by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his interviews with Euronews within the framework of the Davos Economic Forum have attracted broad international attention. The President’s remarks on energy security, cooperation with Europe, regional stability, and global political developments once again underscored Azerbaijan’s growing strategic importance.
Speaking to ARB24 Television, political analyst Ahmad Shahidov stated that the messages delivered by Ilham Aliyev in Davos demonstrate that Azerbaijan has moved beyond a purely regional role and has become an influential actor on the global stage. He emphasized that the Euronews interview clearly addressed key issues such as energy exports, relations with European markets, and stability in the South Caucasus.
Ahmad Shahidov also noted that the President’s stance toward criticism from the European Parliament reflects new political realities. According to him, Azerbaijan has already passed the stage of responding to unfounded accusations and is now prioritizing genuine partnership, energy security, and the establishment of long-term peace in the region—an approach that further strengthens Azerbaijan’s international credibility.
