“A possible attack on Iran poses serious risks for the region and the world” – Ahmad Shahidov told ARB24 Television

In recent days, discussions about a potential military operation by the United States and Israel against Iran have become one of the main topics on the international agenda. These scenarios increase tensions in the Middle East and generate new risks for regional countries as well as for global security.

In an interview with ARB24 Television, political commentator Ahmad Shahidov stated that there are serious divisions within the U.S. government regarding a possible attack on Iran: “In Washington, there are those who see this step as necessary, while influential circles warn that it could lead to severe and uncontrollable consequences. A military strike against Iran would create risks not only for the region, but for the world as a whole.”

According to Ahmad Shahidov, a potential military escalation could also undermine Iran’s internal stability: “If Iran enters a phase of fragmentation, this could trigger long-term and protracted conflicts among various ethnic groups inside the country. Such a scenario would mean years of instability across the region.”
