Amid possible talks between the United States and Iran, regional tensions remain high and deep mistrust persists between the parties. The current situation indicates that the process is shaped by complex political and military factors, making a concrete outcome in the near term unlikely.
Political analyst Ahmad Shahidov stated in a brief comment to ARB24 that the chances of achieving a positive result from U.S.–Iran negotiations are low. According to him, a certain level of agreement may only be possible if both sides are willing to make mutual concessions.
