Chief of the AIDHR Ahmad Shahidov met Alexandra NERISANU, Manager at the EU Delegation to Baku
Ahmad Shahidov, Head of the Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) held a meeting with Miss. Alexandra NERISANU, Officer of the Projects Department and Operations at the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan. On the eve of meeting that mainly based on introduction, Chief of the AIDHR Ahmad Shahidov gave detail information regarding the organization headed by him and talked on state of human rights currently observed in Azerbaijan.
Official of the EU highly interested in the establishment of AIDHR and noted that democracy and human rights were among the priority issues for EU. She also highlighted EU Delegation Baku office’s intention on having cooperation with AIDHR. Head of the AIDHR mentioned upcoming municipality election which would be held in October, 2014 and talked about the organization’s plan to set up a group consisting of volunteers with the purpose of carrying out observation mission at the constituencies. It will allow the organization to cover more constituencies during the election.
