Ahmad Shahidov held discussions with Dr. Jonas Grimheden, Head of Sector Access to Justiceof the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) on issues of Human rights.
Head of Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights Ahmad Shahidov held a meeting with Dr. Jonas Grimheden, Head of Sector Access to Justice of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) on issues of Human rights on October 30 in Vienne, Austria. During the meeting Head of AIDHR gave detailed information about the organization run by him, talked about state of human rights in Azerbaijan and expressed his organization’s intention with regard to establishing collaboration with FRA. In his remarks Mr. Shahidov recalled his attendance at the OSCE Warsaw conference held in September. He also noted that AIDHR international relations were expanding rapidly and highlighted priorities of the organization that chiefly encompasses the issues of democracy and human rights.
Expressing his satisfaction on receiving Head of AIDHR in Vienne Dr. Jonas Grimheden, Head of Sector Access to Justice of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) emphasized key role of South Caucasus. He said they were closely following the situation in Azerbaijan and voiced his pleasure on possible cooperation between AIDHR and FRA. In the end he said that future activities of AIDHR would be in the center of their attention.
