Ahmad Shahidov to talk about human rights at OSCE Vienna meeting

odihr292OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights conducted its meeting under title of “Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in Economic Crisis” in Vienna, Austria on 30 October 2014. Head of Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights attended the meeting that joined by official representatives of OSCE members, international organizations and NGOs.

Making a speech on “Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in the course of Economic Crisis in South Caucasus Countries” Head of AIDHR mainly elaborated on economic recession emerged in Armenia, highlighted real nature of SerjSarkisyan’s military regime and noted that mass movement of Armenian citizens for escaping from prosecution, intimidation and pressure was experienced in the country. In his remarks, he underscored 4 resolutions issued by the UNO with regard to Nagorno-Karabakh and talked about existing territorial integrity problems in the South Caucasus region.

Trying to get a floor for expressing his disagreement to the speech made by the Head of AIDHR, Armenian representative brought an argument with regard to in compliance of Mr. Shahidov’s speech to the OSCE Vienna conference.
