Ahmad Shahidov, Head of the Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) visited Austrian National Library and met with the staff of the library on January 27. Talking about the organization under his Chairmanship, human rights defender informed the library staff on Nagornoy Karabakh conflict with greater detail and put an emphasize on the rights of Azerbaijani IDPs.
This library is considered one of the large ones in Europe housing nearly ten million of several literary books. Familiarizing himself with the activities of the Austrian National Library Ahmad Shahidov, head of AIDHR presented encyclopedic book titled “Karabakh: yesterday and present” to the library. The book was published in four languages and contains Azerbaijani realities, history, culture, past and present of Nagornoy Karabakh.
Having this book at the library will allow not only Austrian young people but all the readers from Europe to take an advantage of receiving comprehensive information with regard to Karabakh.
